Struggling to decide what to get that special man in your life for Christmas? Never fear FANE is here! I love a good loafer on my boyfriend! FANE was established in 2011 and offers a range of high-end loafers and smart shoes for the trendy and chic men of the world. Here’s the kicker… they are very reasonably priced! Summer is almost here and if you are sick of seeing your man rolling in his flip flops all day sneak one of these babies in his stocking.
FANE has just release a boater range that can get wet, have food and drink spilled on them and be thrown in the washing machine. So practical and perfect for all the summer BBQs coming up.
Personally I love the sporty chic trend - it’s comfortable, sexy and cool and yesterday’s Adidas presentation provided me with major light bulb moments “ooooh that with heels would look hot!” or “pairing those sneakers with my trusty leather leggings would be major!” and “oh shit I need to go to the gym”. Adidas is leading the way in sports gear that can easily transition into ready to wear. I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen a loose fitting Adidas tee strategically tucked into a tight leather skirt or cut off denim shorts. Partnering up with uber cool designers Jeremy Scott and Stella McCartney means Adidas has something for everyone… the die hard sports fans, the fash pack and the trendsters.
So what do you guys think about rocking sporty chic on the streets? What are your favourite pieces?
Bright eyed and bushy tailed Sydney’s fashion editors, bloggers and celebs headed down to the old Paramount Studios building this morning for Adidas’ AW13 presentation. Greeted at the door with a selection of fresh Boost juices we perused the latest season of Adidas by Stella McCartney, Kazuki and Jeremy Scott. I headed backstage to what can only be described as a total perv fest! Topless dudes and hot chicks. Here are a few snaps pre-show… looks from the catwalk to come!
Sunshine, a day in the park and some neon florals! I love spring and this jacket! I bought it a while ago and I haven’t gotten around to shooting it… it’s so bright! So what do you think? How do you like to wear florals?
Oh the embellishments! Always a fan of Steve Madden I headed to their showing this morning at the Establishment Hotel in Sydney. My favourites… the studded leopard loafers and the black and gold studded boots! Swoon!
While I was fairly unimpressed by iphone 5, Gold & Co’s pimped out version has injected that “omg I need this” quality it initially lacked. One problem: the 24 karat rose and yellow gold pieces will set one back 4380USD. While rose gold/white iphone is giving me heart palpitations… might have to put it in my Keep Wishing List.
On Tuesday night I attended the launch of Elin Kling’s highly anticipated capsule collection for Marciano. Kling was inspired by Matadors (see details on the white dress below) and the American West. While the collab remains true to Marciano’s bold and sexy aesthetic, there is a clear injection of Kling’s love of simplicity and basics. The over-sized knit, chambray shirt and the white mini dress are on my wish list.
The collection is available online as of TODAY here
Last night I got to meet a FASHION LEGEND! DVF! She is visiting Sydney and hosted a show of her Spring/Summer collection. Bright colour, neon, sparkles, flowing dresses and pants…. it was stunning. I forgot my camera (so annoying!) so these grainy pictures taken with my iphone will have to do!
On Tuesday night I attended the official launch of TOMS in Australia. Not just a pretty espadrille lemme tell ya! In 2006 Blake Mycoskie befriended children in Argentina and found that they had no shoes to protect their little feet! Wanting to make a difference he started TOMS and the One For One campaign whereby every pair of TOMS sold would be matched by the company to be given to a child in need. Not a bad cause to get behind right! I had a great night! The party was held at Bondi Hardware which served up the most delicious little bites and cocktails. I also got to meet one of my favourite bloggers Montarna McDonald from The Intersection Paddington. Don’t you find that because of instagram you feel like your buddies with people you’ve never even met… I do!
Who doesn’t love a good slipper? Stubbs & Wootton not only make the most regal looking shoe but how good are the FU and Screw U embroidery! These are my favourite picks from their website. I’ve got my eye on the sun and moon pair. Which one would you get?
